New England matched their longest winning run since the Brady period as they defeated division rivals the Jets by 13 points in professional football

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson shone brightly with three touchdowns as the New England squad notched an eighth straight win for the first time since star signal-caller Brady's final season with the team in 2019

Quarterback Drake Maye passed for 281 yards and a touchdown, completing 25 passes from 34 throws

The triumph increases the Patriots lead at the top of the AFC East as they moved to a 9-2 record, with the Jets bottom after slipping to two victories and eight defeats

The visitors had taken the lead at Gillette Stadium with quarterback Fields running in a five-yard touchdown to cap the New York's first possession

But the New England responded in the second period as Henderson rushed for two seven-yard TDs before the ball carrier grabbed a reception from Maye at the back of the end zone midway through the third quarter to extend the lead to 21 to 7

"It was a crucial moment for him delivering, and it's been great for him to keep earning playing time," Maye commented on the rookie. "He wants to be outstanding."

Justin Fields threw to Metchie toward the end of the third quarter to narrow the deficit for the Jets but Borregales kicked a two kicks in the fourth quarter as the Patriots wrapped up the win
